Today I flew home on an hour and a half flight, all the while talking to a man that was sitting next to me. We talked about everything from his family, to our religions and the Bible, to his job, and to what I want to study at college.. After the flight, he came up to me in baggage claim and said “Fancy meeting you here!” and then we laughed about how we had talked for that whole time and learned so much about each other and neither of us knew the others name. Then he said that he guessed it didn’t really matter because our souls would recognize each other anyway. It really struck me that through talking about God and our different and similar beliefs that he believed that we would meet again in Heaven one day. I am amazed and thrilled that I made that good of an impression. We believe totally differently on things that would be really important to some people about whether or not you get into Heaven, but, as he told me he believed, the little stuff doesn’t matter as much as the big picture. You need to love everyone like you love yourself, or even better, love everyone like they are the most important person in your life. You need to have faith in God’s love, and you need to want to do what God asks you personally to do, and that’s all that really matters. God is amazing and he works in amazing ways. I’m so thankful that I got to have this growing and enlightening experience today.
